'Sir Wants Sex' is a fantastically cheeky number from London Town's STUFFY/THE FUSES. This is the first piece available from their recent album-recording session with the legendary Steve Albini at the helm and frankly we are beside ourselves with excitement to be able to release it. It features The Scaramanga Stax on brass and lyrically covers a situation of extra-curricular demands inspired by a ridiculous local newspaper headline, but nothing at all like as wanky as that song by the Police. Stuffy is a singing drummer with a penchant for epic pop music. He also likes to get about a bit - It is no coincidence that he can also be found providing the backbeat for Graham Coxon's live band as well as a recent stint for the lords of underground UK pop music that are the Cardiacs. Mr Stuffy and his many Fuses got to record a session for the late John Peel that was broadcast earlier this year on Huw Stephens' One Music show.
